Energy Supplements supports Philangatemba in Lower Molweni/Umgababa. Philangatemba feeds 200 children a day.
Philangethemba is the isiZulu word for "Living through Hope" and this hope, based on a Christian faith is the basis of all of our endeavours. Philangethemba was formed by a group of people within St Agnes Church, Kloof concerned about poverty and HIV/AIDS, who wanted to respond to the call expressed in Luke 4:18-19 to be "good news to the poor". It now comprises the major activity within the Social Outreach Portfolio of the church.
